How To Size A Pool Heating Application With These Panels The rule of thumb is generally to size the system based on half the sqm (50%) or 60% (depending on the region) of the surface area of the pool. A pool Blanket is imperative and if they don’t want a blanket, then you can spec 70% - 80% of the surface area with panels.Example : If you have a 50sqm pool with a blanket /2 =25sqm /3.9 =6.5 panels will be required, you could round it off to 6/7.

It is to early to say as the cool and continous rainfall of the last 2 months. However what concerns me is that yesterday the pool temp increase with 1 degree only, for 7 hours pump flow. It was a hot day yesterday. The temp fall again with 1 degree with the pool blanket.
