Mutch better then the cheap charge controllers. Works nicely with lifepo4 batteries. Nice to have for small solar setups like camping!

If you wanna go cheap then yes.

The solar pmw charger is good and a bonus that it has a display and us great for saving a buck but I would highly recommend the Victron SmartSolar mppt charge controller because you can regulate charge current and voltage on your phone via bluetooth
